With Tarmon so distracted, it was much easier to get out of the castle. I wish it was under better circumstances... I'll take it anyway! I've been behaving well for weeks, and I've earned it.

Father sent younger knights with me, and they were being so enthusiastic! They were trying to impress me, and I told Father only the best things about them when we came back. Like how well they treated their horses! He likes it when his knights do that. No one shady would even come near us either. I was looking!

For all the bother of trying to get out into the city, it's worth it. It's not easy being in the castle lately... Even Father's mood is on edge. He won't tell me why either. I'm worried! I always worry when he doesn't tell me something... The mood in the city's so different! Everyone's happy. They complain about the whether, but there's still a smile on everyone's face. I love this city.

If I could live in a another house in the city, though...!
