I never realized when I set it up that I would have to be there all day to make sure things are running smoothly. They want to see that I'm doing something, and they want me to check over their work to make sure it's perfect because I'm great at that, and they want me to help arrange for food because I know some good chefs who like me, and they want me to add a message to whatever their sending because a message from a daughter of Emeron would make the whole thing so much more special for the soldier who gets it! I'm doing so much, and all of it is so great, but I'm falling asleep as soon as I get back to my room each night...
It is hard to do. But... this is the kind of work a real lady does. This is the first time I'm coming into what it means to really be a lady. Andrea just wouldn't do it ever, and I think Cavilla feels too above it. Canti... well, no one would ask her right now. Benedette is away. And Isanae has enough to deal with running the city. This is something that I have. This is something that I can excel at! This is how I can help make a name for myself, and get noticed as more than just Isaac's favourite daughter. I can do something. I didn't even know it when I started, but this feels like my thing. I'm so exhausted, but I'm so ... happy!
